Step up to the challenge.

Scouts aims to build and develop young people’s confidence, sense of adventure and outdoor skills, as well as encouraging them to explore their beliefs and attitudes and beBC_FDL_30x30mm_assets_DawnCooper creative.  It offers them the independence to put these skills into practice at camps and even on international trips.

Scouts are encouraged to work together and take the lead on all sorts of projects, from community based work to planning games and activities for their meetings.

The Scout Section is for girls and boys aged between 10½ and 14 years.  A young person can come into the Troop at 10½ and may stay until they are 14½ years old.  The Scout Troop is the third section in the Scout Group, above Beavers and Cubs.

When a young person is too old for Scouts, they move on to an Explorer Scouts Unit.  There are several Explorer Units in Loughborough District.

Our Scouts usually meets at the hut on Fridays between 5:45 and 7:15, although being Scouts they are often out and about doing exciting things!
